A minor league plugger, Hayes’ cousin and scrubs, how exciting. Why only block prospects at the NHL level when you can block em in the AHL too?

You would think with guys like Clarke, Holmgren and Barber still hanging around they’d actually remember signing useful AHLers like Don Nachbaur and Tim Tookey but hey, when you can get a Kevin Hayes cousin I guess you gotta go for it.

The Phantoms roster is pretty stacked. No excuses for Lappy this season if he ends up bottom of the division again.

Well, when both Hart and Sandstrom get hurt and Grosenick and Ersson are losing games for the Flyers, Nagle and some other ECHL guy will be the excuse.

Kelson took to his fully customized adaptive bike immediately, gleefully exclaiming, "I'm doing it! I'm doing it!" as he quickly mastered pedaling the device. He was delighted, as was his entire family.

That is awesome!

Do they release season ticket holder numbers yearly? Very curious to see if there has been a drop off, hoping it’s a big one.

Laperriere was enthusiastic about the idea of adding the player to the Phantoms' roster and Brent Flahr (who functions as the Phantoms' de facto general manager in addition to being the Flyers assistant GM to Chuck Fletcher) got the player signed.

Of course Lappy the cement head loves the mucker and grinder. Not shocked in the least.

Norm Barnes was always solid.

Stacked how? With prospects who have a ton of question marks? They have been "stacked" for years with no results.

Not a Lappy fan though to blame him 100% is incorrect if they do not play well. Start holding these players accountable

Do you think the players have an understanding of what the expectation level will be, starting with training camp?

"No, I don't. That's certainly not a criticism to them. They don't know because we haven't gone through any experiences. They haven't gone through camp, they haven't gone through some of the mental and physical tests that we're going to go through in camp. We haven't gone through any adversity when the season starts. ... I don't like using the word culture. To build to play the right way, with the right standard, you have to go through some experiences and teaching them, 'Geez, that was really good,' and then, 'Holy [cow], that is not good enough,' with video, with conversations, with all sorts of ways, and spontaneous coaching, quite honestly, when things happen, good and bad. That's how you create a standard. You and I and me and the players could sit here and talk all summer long about what the standard is. That means nothing until you start going through some of the things and then see how they react to it."

Sounds like the players are in for a rude awakening. Good. lol

Dropped from 17th to 19th.

Leap-frogged by Edmonton (they had some kids coming off good seasons), Seattle (jumped to 15 after two drafts under their belt) and Chicago (who added a ton of picks and drafted some elite talent).

I also don't understand how Brink can have the season that he did and drop below Wisdom, who missed half the season, in the team rankings, lol

It’s amusing to see a coach be made the face of a franchise.

Also amusing how much value they place on conditioning, effort, and culture over talent.

The fools who are so desperately looking forward to seeing a bunch of middle 6 players be made “uncomfortable” are part of the problem.

There are organizations in the league that don’t actively get excited about making life for their own players hell. Teams that have managed to find success. You’d think the league was pounding the door down to hire Torts.

Embarrassing.

To me a lack of "want to" has been an issue with this team. "Want to" covers a lot of basic areas. That is an aspect that can be corrected for all players. Let's face it they were not going to add all of the needed top end talent in one offseason. You have to start somewhere.

I am skeptical that all of the players will buy in to Torts.
